Rosie is a beautiful clever cheeky Flemish Giant rabbit. Because of being a larger breed
Flemish Giants can develop pressure sores on their hocks, and they can also develop joint
issues including arthritis. So because of this I have always made sure to provide
supplemental joint support and digestive support for her.
80 percent of a rabbit and guinea pigs diet should be made up of premium quality hay
preferably Oaten and Timothy as these long strained fibres ensure good gut health, and
good for ensuring their teeth are worn down naturally. Adding high quality Fescue hay such
as Vetafarm origins Fescue Hay to an adult Rabbit or Guinea Pigs diet is also important as
it’s high in fibre and low in protein making it a good choice for adult herbivores. And Rosie
loves to eat it mixed with her Oaten hay.
Feeding appropriate fresh vegetables daily is also essential and ensuring you choose
appropriate vegetables and some fruits that are suitable for rabbits and Guinea pigs
Pellets are a good way to substitute for the difference in nutrients that they may not be
receiving from the fresh vegetables and hay, thus ensuring that your rabbit or guinea pigs
get all the nutrients that they need daily.
And these important nutrients could include probiotics to help balance the gut health and
strengthen the immune system as well
And that’s why I feed Rosie Vetafarm origins senior pallets, because I know they have extra
probiotics inside each pallet, supporting the digestive system and providing immune support through 9 strains of probiotics.
The senior formula also has a plant -based glucosamine which is essential for good joint
support and Cartlidge strengthening and repair, and allowing her to move freely around,
jumping easier and doing her famous Binki runs and jumps, that she loves to do.
They also provide extra cognitive function support, which is vital for all pets.
So if you have a rabbit or Guinea pig please be sure to check out the Vetafarm origins
formula that is suitable for your pet, the range is broad and will cater for your pet providing
optimum nutrients they need to live happy healthy lives.
The range also includes the junior origin pellets that provide essential nutrients for optimum
growth and development, and of course the senior range.
Rosie absolutely loves them and has no hesitation to eat them, and I’m sure your rabbit or
Guinea pig will also.
